Dr. Martha Jallim Hall, an Associate Professor of Education, holds both the Doctor of Education and the Educational Specialist degrees from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Additionally, she earned a Master's in Arts in Counseling College Student Development and certification in School Counseling and a Bachelor's in Arts in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. Previously serving as the Chair of the Department of Education and Coordinator of the Ph.D. in Educational Management, Dr. Jallim Hall plays a crucial role in academia. During her tenure as the former Chair of the Department of Education, Dr. Jallim Hall assumed overall responsibility for directing and overseeing all matters related to the Department and its programs. These programs included the Ph.D. in Educational Management, an M.T. in Teaching, an M.A. in Educational Leadership, and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies/Elementary Education. Her leadership played a pivotal role in the successful reaffirmation of accreditation to the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Virginia Department of Education in 2018. Additionally, as the former Department Chair of Counseling, Dr. Jallim Hall co-chaired the revisions and development of new programs in Pastoral Counseling, Specialist in Education, and the Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, resulting in the CACREP accreditation of the master's in counseling programs. In her capacity as an Associate Professor, she imparts knowledge across undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. courses in education. Dr. Jallim Hall also takes on the responsibilities of supervising, directing, and mentoring doctoral students in their research studies. Notably, she serves as the co-principal investigator/project manager of an NSF grant in collaboration with Howard, Hampton, and Morgan State Universities Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (HHMS- AGEP). Moreover, Dr. Jallim Hall holds the position of Senior Project Researcher at the Hampton University, Toyota Financial Services Leadership Academy. Boasting over two decades of progressive leadership, management, and teaching experience at the university level, Dr. Jallim Hall is a dynamic administrator. Her career extends nationally and internationally, encompassing diverse roles such as teaching, dissertation research supervision, administration, and involvement in student and academic support services, international programs, and counselor education.
